What Is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift or brow ptosis repair, surgically repositions and supports the eyebrows. The procedure can reduce heaviness above the eyes, improve the upper field of vision when affected, and create a smoother transition between the forehead, eyebrows, and upper eyelids.

Several surgical techniques are available, and the appropriate approach depends on the degree and location of brow descent, forehead anatomy, hairline, skin quality, and the patient’s individual goals. Depending on these factors, Dr. Rubin may recommend an endoscopic, temporal, hairline, or direct brow-lift technique.

Because a low brow can contribute to the appearance of excess upper-eyelid skin, a careful evaluation is essential. Some patients may benefit from a brow lift alone, while others may achieve the best result by combining it with upper blepharoplasty or ptosis repair.

A brow lift is designed to improve eyebrows that have descended with age, genetics, or changes in the forehead tissues. A low or heavy brow can create fullness over the upper eyelids, contribute to visual obstruction, and make the eyes appear tired, concerned, or less open.

Dr. Rubin was referred to me by three different people, my regular eye doctor in Hobe Sound, a friend who went to him for a procedure and also from a plastic surgeon in West Palm Beach… all three highly recommended him. I saw Dr. Rubin to have a chalazia removed from my eye lid. He also suggested that l think about having dry eye treatments, but that insurance does not cover the treatments.  I have been undergoing the treatments since December, (they are almost finished. ) My dry eye syndrome feels like it is gone . I no longer wake up with burry  eyesight reaching for eye drops.
